We've Got Walls!

We've actually got walls with openings for our doors and windows. It is fun to walk around inside and picture what our house will look like and to see the views out of the windows. Yay!

Our dear friend Jon (Butch) Reynolds who grew up next door to me and who now lives in Alaska, came to visit with his new wife Kathryn and our friend Phil. The timing was great and it was so nice to share this milestone with close, forever, childhood friends.

View out of our downstairs bedroom.

West side facing our garage with an entry into our mud/laundry room.

East facing wall with a future view of the lake and north wall with a door that leads out to our future screened in porch.

Main entry and window over our future kitchen sink.

Now this is exciting and makes living in our little travel trailer so worth while. The upstairs bedroom comes soon. Meanwhile the wonderful weather with cooler air and a perfect breeze is a delight! We are thankful!

  1. Have been watching the build with great excitement. Anthony said to be sure you get "our bedroom" right & he would like pictures of it at completion. Really it is wonderful to watch your home grow literally out of the earth! It is like the emergence of plants after germination (your ideas) from the soil in spring - one day there is nothing & then a home stands strong & all embracing to shelter & nuture you, your family & friends. Keep up the great work & enthusiasm - know we look forward with great anticipation to your blog. Much love the Connors Down Under, to the courageous Fishes Up and Over

  2. You always say just the right thing! I hadn't checked for comments for a while and the timing was perfect for you to give us a morning smile. We often don't feel very courageous and often wonder what the heck we have done! But, after reading your comment, shoot, we're pretty darn cool!! LOL!! Now to live up to that and keep our eyes on our goals and keep a positive outlook and a sense of humor. Your bedroom will surely be a priority!! Keep that encouragement coming. Love, The Fishes Creeping Up and Over
